Utilising your extensive medical background this position makes accurate clinical decisions that are relied upon at all stages of a candidates assessment and enlistment. This role requires high level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships as it works as part of a multidisciplinary team.

As we offer increasing flexibility to our client we are looking for additional Locum Medical Officers to be added to our casual pool. There is no lock in commitment (other than the training period) with the option to work as often as shifts are offered or as little as only three days a month (to maintain knowledge and skills). You will have a base location in Brisbane where training will take place (two to three weeks full time is recommended to fast track learning) shifts will be offered across all Defence Force Recruiting centres nationally.

You must be willing and able to travel as this is a primary requirement of the role. Flights and accommodation are booked centrally and, as long as it is not cost prohibitive, your preferred airline can be used. An overnight allowance is paid to cover expenses when travelling.

To be eligible for this position applicants must have unconditional registration with AHPRA, Australian Citizenship and be willing to undergo the Australian Defence Force (ADF) security clearance process. Vocational registration with the relevant professional college would be highly advantageous.
